What is the history of this site? Were there any strings attached when it was donated?The SA owns the site and the trustiees have a leagal responsibility to use it's assests in puersuit of it's aims.We need to put the case forward that the CofE's are not in the intrest of Scouting and hence certain people could be up for misaporpration of charatable assets.
I suppose the most definitive history of the site is that written by my father, former warden Bill Cook. Sadly he past away on 21st July 2012, I have posted his version on the site http://www.whcook.me.uk

I'm sorry to hear that Bill has gone home. It's interesting to
read your web site - I helped on one of the Service Teams for
about four years during his tenure as Warden.

Incidentally Steve, this Usenet Group isn't the hive of activity
