Looks like some flap is on tonight. E-mails landing in my inbox by the
dozen. Hey people I'm busy! I've got a development strategy document
to write.

Big Chris: The person you're looking for I think is departing on the
last boat out very soon but you may be lucky and catch him at:

Just passing on a message.

I sent the gofor along to knock on the door and asked them to tell
them to look in their mail box. If that sounds logical!!?

And there was me having a quiet night away from Explorer scout
debates! Such is life.

I can't imagine why - looks like I might be coming here more often!

I'm not going to get into a them and us debate.

Every forum or ng has its own nuances, subtleties and intricacies;
scouting ones are not the exception. They have good points and bad
points.

Here there's experience and robust debate, but there's also the daily
sale of handbags, trainers and watches! :-)

Elsewhere the shopping side might be banned (or traders shooed away)
and there's a lighter side to debate.

And lot's more in each besides.

Which is best?

Silly question really. People have a preference and should be free to
choose. There's plenty of space for all. If you want to sit here, pull
up a chair. If you want to go elsewhere fine, take your foldaway chair
and camp over there - wherever there may be. In fact, get two or more
chairs and swap between two or three or four forums/ng's if you want
to.

And no, people here won't nick your seat while you're away! We have an
open policy to welcome all travellers. And we have a first class
virtual welcome and catering team on hand whoever you are! :-)

We get troublemakers on here. The whatisname guy with the silly
pseudonym...mr gaga or whatever for one! :-)

We get boring ol' farts (sorry must watch my p's and q's) on here -
the whatisname...mr gigi for one! :-)

Nowhere is perfect.

I want to see all forum/ng scouters and friends post where they like.
I certainly don't want to see a recruitment campaign run to attract
more here, for example. People are free to choose.

Some places I hear have had a bit of 'excitement' recently. It
happens. Sometimes these things can be good for the ng's soul. Throw
in a controversial, unusual, distinctive catalyst and who knows what
might show up. On show then might be issues which need attention. Who
knows!?

Stormy weather can upset many a seemingly stable ship and throw up all
sorts of things from the bilges. Give it a scrub down, tidy away, put
things ship-shape and, hey ho, the boat will catch the wind again and
be off on its merry way soon enough.

Peter and I have a mutual acquaintance and I'm led to believe that
they've swapped views and stories over the past day or two. Some
shared, some different opinions no doubt? But a shared understanding.
I think his acquaintance has set sail for pastures new; it happens. I
don't think he'll be seen in Peter's house again, but if Peter wants
to go on a day trip here from time to time, fine by me. Just be
careful around throwing-out time - some of the drunken crowd round
here have a certain robustness that requires caution and a delicate
touch!

And watch out for Mr GooGoo! He doesn't blow soft gentle bubbles; he
throws brickbats on occasions during his pastrami on rye activities/
debates.

Did you not get a cuppa? Catering team on maternity leave?

UKRS is open for business!

Now who wants a pair of nike trainers, 20,564 owners only, brand new,
honest guv? :-)

Glad that you are back on form. I hope all went well.

No-one needs to be recruited, but I do like to remind them that we are here
from time to time.

A reminder is always welcome I'm sure
Actually I've been back from the repair shop for a little while. Just
trying to sort out this big black bird sitting on the garden wall.
Looks like it's married as it's got some sort of ring on.

Hold on a tic....

....tic.....

Aha it's a message from someone called tar merywthr or
something....can make name out because it's got a bit wet on its
flight over the sea.

It says: set sail this morning, heading out into the setting sun.
don't see a way back chaps. shut up shop before we left shore and
remembered to close the mail box. one last check showed nothing there.
I've got a sausage here but there's no £100 prize to go with it. Eaten
it now. Was thinking of getting in touch with mother before I left,
but seeing as she locked me out of her house for supposedly breaking
the china during my supposed bully boy routine - which we all know now
it wasn't - I wasn't in the mood to talk. I hope she understands. I
was hoping to hear from her but the PO have lost the forwarding
address instructions. And the other chappie was quiet too. I do hope
he's not thinking of giving up the groupie day job. Every now and then
we all break an egg. Done it many times. Scrambled myself good style.
Every now and then a soft egg is better than a hard egg. And hey leave
the box open, it's more welcoming and people won't be scared of it
containing salmonella or such like. Oh well got to go. Sails to trim.
Remember me to all. Much love.

P.S. Too late to send the bird back I fear. They don't like water and
there's been so much water flowing under the bridge it's pushed me out
of range. If you do......

The rest is all blurred.

No idea what it all means! :-)

It might be more than from time to time.............. at my house they
seem to have put up the shutters and barricades, as I haven't been
able to get near the place (or is it the servers playing up again?).
And as your acquaintance knows, he is welcome to vsit my house any
time he likes (assuming he can get in).

Anyway, I won't be round either houses for a bit, as you may have
heard, I have a camp to sort out!

Wouldn't know. I've seem to have lost the address. Not visited since
my friend was ejected. Not even lurked on his behalf. Though people
keep passing me messages for him.

Are they cleaning up the place after the storm? :-)

Hello ? Think I've finaly found how to write on here ? Only came
looking for the place recently, satisfying a curiosity that if someone
REALLY wanted to know a bit about a person, rather than simple old
fashioned trust of fellow Scouters, it wasn't that hard. Didn't even
need my Trackers Badge skills much either. 'specialy since they waved
a big cheeky flag in one post saying "look this way!" which took me
even further than here ! Oh well guess none as blind as those looking
through the smoke of some well tarred faggots ;-)
I've had fun exploring though, guess I've finally lost the trail so
I'll just have a poke round here for a while, did someone mention a
catering tent ?

We have a virtual tea and cake service which is normally excellent but
unfortunately there may be a short delay due to maternity leave.

Some of us have been around a long time from way back before escouts was
even thought of and some have also ventured there so may be familiar to
you already. Everyone is welcome.
