HELLO UKRS'ERS!!!

echo> hello ukrs'ers < echo

seems to be a lot of empty space in here. oh well i'll give it a go.

anyone seen an ol' git scouter called GAGS? he used to live round here a while ago. average size, average height, average build, average pain in the ****. last time i saw him he was wearing his 57 pairs of nike shazzam go get 'em woolly carpet-slipper trainers and carrying his 21 handbags from his prada tesco plastic bag to his bin bag.

he also has 16 degrees and 48 NVQs including washing machine psychology degree and an NVQ in POR in esperanto and swahili.

(i bet he just has a D and E at A-Level!)

e-ba-gum where can 'E be?

not here obviously as i'm sure he didn't talk to himself. or maybe he did the silly ol' nutter!

cordially yours, TM

TM,

I think you need to make an appointment with Dr. Stu, over in
"that other place...".

I'm not a medical professional, or qualified like Dr. Stu, but I
think you're exhibiting some symptoms of bipolar disorder ;-)

No, no, Mat ... I don't think we should be suggesting that Tarquin goes
anywhere near 'that other place'. I've been there, even contributed a
few well-chosen soporifics, but they all seem to be so serious and
earnest about things (which I'm sure is admirable) ... can't see the
usual UKRS suspects (if they're still alive and well) lasting long in
that rarified atmosphere.
Has anyone one checked behind the UKRS sofa? GAGS just might be kipped
down there and unaware of all the fun and activity going on around him.

I'm a doctor, not a nurse, can't you tell? It's the letters after the
name, y'know. DPhil in my case, I'm a physicist not a physician.
Anyway, all the cake keeps getting eaten up on Scoutlink. They're very
partial to the lemon drizzle. I've some double blueberry left, and some
chocolate and pear. Both are yummy, and I did make sure my three year
old washed his hands before helping me cook them. I must get his name
down for Beavers, I'm sure his potential GSL would be very annoyed to
lose out on my apprentice baker, he's getting very good at measuring out
ingredients and operating the whizzy-whizzy machine (blender). Anyone
got the contact details for St Neots?

Gosh, three years old already. Time sure flies when you're having fun
;^)
Hope that Colony's a good one. My Grandson went through Beavers into the
Cubs, stuck it out until he was about to be made a sixer - then left.
His Akela kept on telling them what they would get to do ... as long as
they were 'good' !
Hands up the lucky person who's only ever had 'good' Cubs, who were thus
able to get to do things.

I've not seen or heard from GAGS either for a while.

In fact to be honest I've not been here for a while.

I do frequent the 'other' place quite regularly though, although not
posting as much as I used to.

There are some I agree who take things too seriuosly, but there are
more there than here, and I was sick of all the rubbish on here and
very few posts but still needed to get a fix somewhere.

I generally avoid web forums because of their difficulty of use. I
prefer a proper usenet newsgroup and client that allows me to down load
all the posts, sort, search and order without waiting for ages for the
screen to update.
I only go to the darkside when absolutely necessary.

Good evening Tarquin old chap. Sorry, haven't seen GAGS around here
recently. Or indeed anyone else until this evening. I'll be sure to say
hello if he does pop up!

Awfully Sorry old bean, but me and 'Waynes World" parted company three
'year ago.

and I don't go to 'the other place' because the teal helicopters hover
over it, machine guns at the ready in case anyone fails to toe the
party line.
